My apologies for missing last week. My internet was down and so I took a computer holiday. Kind of nice, actually!
However, things are back up and running and so here I am again.
Today I am heading out to Toronto to speak at a youth conference. I am prepared and yet feel a bit of the jitters. How I combat this is to think about the young people that will be there. This is about them and not about me. If I focus on them and encouraging and blessing them, my jitters fast disappear. I may not be the most gifted orator but I do know how to love and care about people.
And isn't that the way of it? When we put ourselves first, we get too introspective and lose our way. However, when I look outside of myself, I have a much clearer view of where I'm going and what I need to do.
So, this week, I will commit to loving the people who come across my path and I'll let you know how it goes. I hope to blog next week however I will also be holidaying so we'll see how it goes.
Can I encourage you also this week to focus less on self and more on others and see where it takes you? Thank you for being on this journey with me - it is my privilege to travel with you!
