Psalm 18:17
"He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me."
We all deal with 'stuff' in our lives. There are things in our lives that we would all like to change. And sometimes, we feel so powerless with certain situations that we don't think we can change or are not in our power to change. We don't often view 'stuff' as a powerful enemy or as a foe and yet we do feel sometimes that whatever it is we are up against is 'too strong for me'.
The good news is: we have a powerful God to wants to rescue us from those things that threaten to overwhelm us. We CAN have victory in those areas of our lives that seem out of reach. We have a God who is in the recovery business. Are you being challenged in a certain area of your life? Perhaps in your job, in a relationship, with your health? Sometimes we can make better choices but don't always feel we have the inner strength to pull it off. We have a God who does have the strength and He is happy to impart it to us. All we have to do is ask and then trust.
We can do that, right? Ask and then trust. Can I ask you to pick one thing today, right now? The thing that sits right in front of you all the time. Take that one thing to God and ask Him to rescue you from whatever it is you picked. Then let's trust that God, in His way and His time, will rescue us.
